UPDATED: Police have confirmed that the 57-year-old German woman who was struck by a vehicle on Xatt Pinto, Floriana, on 19th June, has sadly passed away at Mater Dei Hospital.
The Magisterial inquiry and police investigations are still ongoing.
A 57-year-old German woman is in critical condition following a traffic accident that occurred earlier this afternoon in Floriana.
The incident took place at around 1:15 p.m. on Xatt Pinto, where the woman was struck by a Toyota Ractis driven by a 52-year-old man from ฤฆaลผ-ลปabbar.
A medical team and ambulance were dispatched to the scene, and the woman was taken to Mater Dei Hospital, where she was later certified as suffering from serious injuries and is currently at risk of losing her life.
Magistrate Antoine Agius Bonnici has appointed an inquiry into the case, while police investigations are ongoing.
