Sim racing enthusiast Justin Mifsud is set to take on an intense 24-hour solo endurance race at the legendary Circuit de la Sarthe, France, all in support of the Puttinu Cares Foundation. Scheduled for 29th March 2025, this challenge follows the success of his previous marathon, where he raised an impressive €3,071. This time, he aims to double that amount, targeting over €6,000 for the charity.
Mifsud’s mission goes beyond racing. It’s about demonstrating how sim racing can be a force for good. Often seen as just a hobby or a training tool, virtual motorsport is proving its value as a platform for community, education, and philanthropy. His initiative showcases how esports can inspire generosity and create real-world impact.
A Test of Endurance and Determination
Competing solo for 24 hours demands exceptional focus, physical endurance, and mental resilience. In his first attempt, Mifsud completed over 700 laps and secured a 6th-place finish, despite battling exhaustion and muscle cramps. This time, he’s pushing himself even harder – not only to perform on the virtual track but also to exceed his fundraising goal.
To amplify the event’s impact, Mifsud is inviting teams of 2-5 drivers to join the challenge, either remotely or from the World Pro Racing facility at Montekristo Estate. The entire race will be streamed live on social media, allowing motorsport fans to follow the action in real time and contribute to the cause.
How to Support the Cause
Donations can be made via SMS or during the live broadcast, with every euro going directly to Puttinu Cares, a foundation dedicated to supporting families facing serious health challenges.
Mifsud expressed his gratitude to his wife Rachel, daughter Elishia, sponsors, volunteers, and the esports community, all of whom played a crucial role in supporting his first race. He emphasises that this campaign is not just about racing – it’s about raising awareness and making a difference for those in need.
Mark your calendars for 29th March 2025, tune in, and donate generously. Together, we can help Justin reach his goal and showcase the power of sim racing and human perseverance.
