The United States describes Russia’s war on Ukraine as the “Russia-Ukraine conflict” in its upcoming United Nations Resolution

Earlier today, US Secretary of State said that the US will be proposing a United Nations Resolution on February 24th, three years after Russia invaded Ukraine.

The resolution is very short and describes the Russian war on Ukraine as the “Russia-Ukraine conflict”. You can read it below.

  1. Mourning the tragic loss of life throughout the Russia-Ukraine conflict;
  2. Reiterating that the principal purpose of the United Nations, as expressed in the United Nations Charter, is to maintain international peace and security and to peacefully settle disputes;

Implores a swift end to the conflict and further urges a lasting peace between Ukraine and Russia.
