No Ukraine minerals deal for President Trump: President Zelensky reiterates that Europe will be at the forefront of peace agreement

The United States has failed to extort a mineral rights deal from Ukraine after threatening and blackmailing the country by restricting its access to Starlink. The United States will also be proposing a United Nations resolution describing the Russian war on Ukraine as the “Russia-Ukraine conflict“. Negotiations between the US and Ukraine took place in Kyiv with US Special Envoy Keith Kellogg representing the Trump Administration.

In a series of statements earlier today, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky reiterated the same message he gave yesterday before midnight, that any peace proposals brought to the table would be brought by Europe along with European security guarantees. Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof stated that Russia must not emerge out of negotiations as a victor.

Ukraine’s former Minister of Foreign Affairs stated that Ukraine would not be pressured into accepting another agreement similar to the Minsk Agreements because that would ensure Russia attacks Ukraine once again. The war is set to continue and with the US being unable to negotiate with Russia on its behalf, there are currently no ongoing, direct or indirect peace talks going on between Russia and Ukraine.
