Queen Michelle Muscat has continued her world tour while also saving lives on behalf of the Marigold Foundation and the National Alliance for Rare Diseases Support, which she runs. She was in Brussels attending a ceremony called the EURORDIS Black Pearl Awards on the event of Rare Diseases Day. The event was organised by EURORDIS – Rare Diseases Europe, who advocate for people with rare diseases, and Michelle Muscat’s organisation is part of this network.
Michelle Muscat, the wife of former disgraced Prime Minister Joseph Muscat, runs the only NGO in Malta specialising in rare diseases. She says she has the support of Belgium’s Princess Anne de Ligne, who sits in the committee of the Black Pearl Awards.
