Yesterday evening, President Donald Trump gave a speech in Congress where he praised President Zelensky for writing him a letter reiterating Ukraine’s insistence to sign the mineral rights deal with the United States. President Zelensky has yet to travel to the United States to sign the deal.
President Trump gave a speech to Congress, much to the chagrin of many Democrats, some of whom were escorted out for interrupting him. The speech was a basic rundown of his policies including tariffs, border control and praise for Elon Musk and his DOGE team. He condemned the European Union for its tariffs and trade barriers against US and vowed to address the issue. The speech lasted around 100 minutes.
No other new announcements were made in the speech.
