Man arrested in connection with burnt vehicles in Marsaskala

A 35-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an arson incident involving two vehicles in Marsaskala.

The incident occurred on the 5th of March at around 3:15 am, when police and Civil Protection Department officers were called to Triq il-Gardiel. Upon arrival, they found two parked vehicles engulfed in flames. Firefighters managed to control the blaze, and police immediately launched an investigation.

Magistrate Ian Farrugia was informed of the case and appointed an inquiry. Following investigations, authorities identified the suspect allegedly responsible for the arson. He was later arrested in Birkirkara.

The suspect was brought before Magistrate Charmaine Galea in court today at around 2:30 pm.
