Just now in Parliament, Opposition Leader Bernard Grech mentioned a number of items which were part of the Labour government’s defence expenditure including border control software, bullet proof vests, research, and even a €50 million expense to procure a new patrol boat. The Opposition Leader asked the Prime Minister whether he was going to war for purchasing these items.
The Opposition Leader appealed to the Prime Minister to be more honest on the debate about defence, and also appealed to him to say and state that Ukraine should not lose the war against Russia.
Prime Minister Robert Abela has been abusing the defense debate for partisan and political purposes.
The Parliamentary debate is ongoing.
