Malta registers record low unemployment rate of 2.7%

According to the National Statistics Office, Malta registered a record low unemployment rate for the month of February with unemployment going down to 2.7%. Unemployment is highest within the age group between 15 and 24 years old with a 9% unemployment figure.

The number of unemployed people in February was at 9,076: a decrease of 4.5% from the previous month and a decrease of 18.8% when compared to February 2024.

The Eurostat average for Euro area unemployment rate for the month of January was at 6.2% with European statistics for February to be issued tomorrow.
