Cyclist seriously injured in collision with truck in San Ġwann

At approximately 10:45 am today, Friday, an Italian man was injured in a traffic accident on Tal-Balal Road, San Ġwann.

Upon arriving at the scene, police confirmed that the incident involved a collision between a bicycle, ridden by a 33-year-old Italian man, and a DAF truck driven by a 32-year-old resident of Mosta.

A medical team provided first aid to the injured cyclist before transporting him to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance. He was later certified to have suffered serious injuries.

Police investigations into the accident are still ongoing.
