US Attorney-General dismisses Signal Group chat leaks and says chats were not classified

President’s Trump’s recently appointed Attorney-General, Pamela Bondi has dismissed the Signal Groups leaks case and said that the chat was not classified, but “sensitive information”. The Attorney-General was echoing statements made by the Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, who in a Senate hearing, said that the chats didn’t involve classified information.

The US Attorney-General ended her response to a question on the scandal with a political and partisan turn saying that the journalist should look into the “Hilary Clinton emails” scandal and the case of Joe Biden’s papers in his garage.

On Fox News, the Attorney-General also contradicted President Trump’s statements about the Signal application, saying she believes it is safe for U.S. public officials to use for communication. President Trump suggested that Signal may be defective in an attempt to deflect responsibility from his National Security Advisor, Mike Waltz, for adding The Atlantic editor, Jeffrey Goldberg, to the confidential chat. Signal released a statement denying that its application is defective.

The Atlantic editor was added to a Signal Group chat in which the US Vice-President and the Defense Secretary shared their hatred for Europe while planning an attack against the Houthis on March 15th.

It’s SIGNAL’s fault that our classified (no it’s not ‘classified’ not at all) top secret and confidential information has been exposed.
