At approximately 8:30 a.m. this morning, police were alerted to a traffic accident on Triq iż-Żagħfran in Attard.
Preliminary investigations by officers at the scene revealed that the collision involved a Toyota Passo driven by a 19-year-old woman from Birkirkara and a Kawasaki motorcycle ridden by a 31-year-old man, also from Birkirkara.
A medical team was dispatched to the site, and the motorcyclist was transported by ambulance to Mater Dei Hospital. He was later certified to be suffering from serious injuries and in danger of losing his life.
Magistrate Ian Farrugia has been informed of the case and has appointed an inquiry into the incident. Police investigations are still underway.
