This remarkable result secured Malta A’s place in the knockout phase, keeping hopes alive for further success in the blackball competition under the leadership of Clevion Micallef.
Earlier in the day, Malta A demonstrated their dominance in the group stage with a commanding 21-4 win over Shetland, propelling them to second place in the standings, ahead of powerhouses like England.
Strong Showings in Individual Events
In the individual competition, Leon Azzopardi added to Malta’s success story by advancing to the semi-finals after an impressive 5-2 win against Marc Fleming. He is set to face Stuart McCulloch later tonight in what promises to be a high-stakes encounter.
