At around 8:00 am on Sunday morning, police were alerted to a traffic accident that occurred on Triq Marsaxlokk, Marsaxlokk.
Initial investigations by officers at the scene showed that a 35-year-old Libyan man residing in Msida lost control of the Toyota Yaris he was driving. The vehicle crashed into both a pole and a wall. Another Libyan man, aged 28 and living in Swieqi, was also in the car at the time of the incident.
A medical team was called to assist, and an ambulance transported the 28-year-old passenger to Mater Dei Hospital. He was later certified to have sustained serious injuries.
Police investigations are still underway.
