On Friday afternoon at around 1:30 pm, police were alerted to a traffic accident on Triq Burmarrad in St. Paul’s Bay.
Upon arriving at the scene, police conducted preliminary investigations which revealed that the accident involved a collision between a Mazda Demio driven by a 31-year-old woman from the Czech Republic, currently residing in Mosta, and a Piaggio motorcycle ridden by a 72-year-old man from Birkirkara.
A medical team was called to the site and the motorcyclist was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance. He was later certified as having suffered serious injuries.
Police investigations into the incident are still ongoing.
