A final farewell for the late Francis Zammit Dimech, Acting President of Malta, former government minister, former Member of the European Parliament, and former Secretary General of the Partit Nazzjonalista, will take place this Thursday, 24th April, at 2:00pm at the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Balluta.
As part of the arrangements to honour his legacy, the Nationalist Partyโs headquarters, Dar ฤentrali, will be open to the public today and tomorrow for those wishing to pay their respects. Visitors are invited to leave personal messages in the Book of Condolences set up in his memory. The book will be available for signing today, Tuesday, between 12:00pm and 8:00pm, and tomorrow, Wednesday, from 9:00am to 8:00pm.
The leadership of the Nationalist Party has been in close coordination with Zammit Dimechโs family and loved ones to organise the celebration of his life. As part of the commemorative events, the funeral cortege will also pass by Dar ฤentrali following the service, allowing the party to pay a final tribute to one of its longest-serving and most respected figures.
Francis Zammit Dimech passed away at the age of 70, leaving behind a significant political legacy marked by service to both Malta and the European Union.
