Opposition Leader Bernard Grech met with Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (featured above), and his deputy, Lu Kang, among other Chinese government and party officials in a visit to Beijing this week. In a statement, Nationalist Party Leader Bernard Grech said that he discussed various issues with Chinese officials including peace and security issues in Europe such as the war in Ukraine.
The Opposition Leader also said that they discussed tariffs and Malta’s relationship with China. PN Leader Bernard Grech also discussed investments on technology and green technology with his Chinese counterparts.
Bernard Grech was also accompanied by his Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs Beppe Fenech Adami, PN’s spokesperson Nathanial Attard, PN’s International Secretary Beppe Galea, and his wife AnneMarie Grech.
