Motorcyclist suffers serious injuries in Marsa/Hamrun Bypass collision

Thursday morning at approximately 9:30 am, police were informed of a traffic accident that occurred on the Marsa/Hamrun bypass in Marsa.

Officers responded immediately to the scene, where preliminary investigations revealed a collision between a BMW X5, driven by a 40-year-old man from St. Paul’s Bay, and a Kymco Agility motorcycle, ridden by a 29-year-old man from San Ġwann.

A medical team was dispatched to the scene, and the motorcyclist was transported by ambulance to Mater Dei Hospital. He was later certified as having sustained serious injuries.

Police investigations into the incident are currently ongoing.
