Friday at around 5:00 pm, police were alerted to a traffic accident in Triq ix-Xagħra, in the village of Xagħra.
Police officers responded immediately to the scene, where preliminary investigations revealed a collision between a Hyundai, driven by a 74-year-old man from Xagħra, and a Nissan driven by a 33-year-old Albanian man. A 73-year-old woman, also from Xagħra, was a passenger in the Hyundai.
A medical team was called to the scene and an ambulance transported all three individuals to the Gozo General Hospital for treatment. Later, both men were certified to have sustained minor injuries, while the woman was found to be suffering from serious injuries.
Police investigations into the incident are still ongoing.
