The Maltese Herald has been pressing top government officials and the Prime Minister with questions on the incident regarding the Freedom Flotilla vessel, “Conscience“.
Government officials have been evasive on admitting or denying that an attack against the Freedom Flotilla ship “Conscience” took place. Experts who spoke to The Maltese Herald have said that the explosions on “Conscience” were most likely the result of a grenade attack.
Government officials have denied that Israel or anyone else breached Malta’s sovereignty.
At the same time, they are insisting that the vessel was denied entry by Transport Malta Port Authorities without official intervention from the Office of the Prime Minister.
Despite these claims, government officials are still being evasive on a number of questions and issues and we are still trying to get answers.
Only EU Commissioner Glenn Micallef condemned the attack.
The vessel remains stranded off the coast of Malta, is being assisted by a tugboat, and is also under patrol by two vessels of the Armed Forces of Malta.
