Degiorgio Brothers kept mobile phones in prison according to Court testimonies

According to Court witnesses in the ongoing court case against the suppliers of the bomb that killed Daphne Caruana Gaizia, the Degiorgio brothers had mobile phones while in prison up until 2018. The point was raised by Jason Azzopardi after the press failed to report on the matter.

Prisoners used to smuggle everything in prison including mobile phones and internet key devices, however smuggling into prison waned down following Colonel Alex Dalli’s takeover of the prison facility.

The problem with the Degiorgios case however is that Joseph Muscat’s Chief of staff, Keith Schembri, was interfering into the investigation on the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia and is even accused of trying to communicate with the murder suspects, the Degiorgio brothers, through his messenger Kenneth Camilleri.
