Prime Minister Robert Abela announces that Dr. Alaa and Dr Hamdi al-Najjar will be granted asylum in Malta

Malta’s Prime Minister, Robert Abela, has announced that Dr. Alaa and Dr Hamdi al-Najjar, whose 9 children were killed in an Israeli airstrike on their house in Khan Younis in Gaza, are to be brought to Malta and given asylum. Only one of their children has remained alive. The family of three will be brought to Malta and provided with medical treatment. The parents are both pediatricians.

The Prime Minister offered the family asylum in Malta last Sunday.
