Dr Hamdi al-Najjar, the pediatrician whose nine children were killed in an Israel airstrike on his house in Khan Younis, has succumbed to his wounds in hospital and passed away.
He leaves behind him his wife, Dr Alaa al-Najjar, and one child. The couple were both pediatricians.
Dr Hamdi was at his house when the airstrike took place and initially survived the attack with serious injuries.
Malta’s Prime Minister is offering the Najjar family asylum in Malta.
