As the playoffs across all league divisions conclude, the spotlight now shifts to one of the most anticipated stretches of the Maltese Blackball calendar — Finals Week. Kicking off on Monday, 2nd June, the week-long series of championship matches will feature the best teams from across the divisions battling it out for ultimate glory. All matches will be held at the Juventus Club in Birkirkara, with each final scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM.
Earlier this month, both national governing bodies for Pool and Blackball made a joint announcement committing to coordinated scheduling efforts to avoid event clashes. Thanks to this cooperation, fans can now enjoy a full week of uninterrupted Blackball action, culminating in five separate finals that reflect the depth and diversity of competition across Malta’s pool scene.

A Week of High-Stakes Finals
The action kicks off on Monday with the Amateur Trophy Final, as Zebbug St Joseph takes on Siggiewi Montekristo. Both teams have shown strong form throughout the season, and this opener is expected to set a high standard.
On Tuesday, the CAMC Community League Final sees PL Balzan go head-to-head with San Gwann Tiki Taka C, in a grassroots-level clash full of passion and community spirit.
Midweek brings the biggest showdown: the Cisk Premier League Final on Wednesday, where Hamrun 147 A faces Cospicua Rangers A. With both teams dominating all season, this match is poised to be the crown jewel of Finals Week.
Thursday’s Challenge League Final features Jojos Birzebbuga versus Hamrun 147 C, a clash between two sides who’ve battled hard through a demanding campaign.
The week wraps up on Friday with the Regional League Final, as Qormi Anici Boys meet San Gwann Tiki Taka A. It’s a fitting finale, spotlighting regional pride and local rivalries.
What’s Next
While Finals Week marks the end of the league season, the Maltese Blackball calendar continues. The Super Cup and Federation Cup are set to begin the following week, with official dates to be announced on Saturday, 7th June. This is in coordination with the Malta Pool Association (MPA).
