Why Daniel Attard is totally corrupt

It didn’t even take a year in his role as Member of the European Parliament for Daniel Attard to be investigated by the Belgian police over bribery. He is being investigated for holding undisclosed meetings with Huawei and accepting a free ticket by them to a football match. The MEP elections were held in June 2024. He accepted the free ticket from Huawei and held undisclosed meetings with them in September.

His story reads like a fast race straight to corruption.

What kind of person who earns a minimum salary of โ‚ฌ5,000 per month, accepts a free ticket to a football match by a lobbyist? Moreover, what kind of MEP would accept to hold secret meetings with Huawei while refusing to register these meetings?

Daniel Attard is totally and morally corrupt. A spineless imbecile who was propelled to the European Parliament with the support of Joseph Muscat, and is now probably doing his bidding.

There are many things which are seriously wrong with this person. Not only is he totally and morally corrupt, but he is also a serious liability to the nation’s national security.

Joseph Muscat probably ‘invested’ in Daniel Attard. Let me explain.

He (Muscat) likely pushed for and supported Daniel Attard’s campaign with the understanding that he (Muscat) will tutor Attard on how to make extra cash on the side so to speak, in exchange for a cut.

Nothing surprises me and we all know Muscat is willing to do anything for money.

Even if no corruption took place, a person in a responsible position such as MP or MEP, head of any authority or anyone in the judiciary should not be meeting and entertaining requests for meetings. In a country I worked in each MP and head of each authority were obliged to declare their meetings with business companies and requested to document the salient points of such meetings if they did occur and post them on a special Government Conflict of Interest website.
