Both Floriana Young Stars and Qormi Daikin got their EuroHockey Challenge Cup campaigns off to a flying start, securing strong victories in their opening fixtures.
Floriana Overcome Swedish Opposition in Lithuania
Competing in Lithuania, last season’s domestic champions Floriana Young Stars began their European journey with a 3–1 win over Swedish side Roslagens.
After a tightly contested opening quarter ended goalless, Floriana found their rhythm in the second and third quarters, scoring twice to take control of the match. They added a third goal in the final quarter before Roslagens netted a late consolation.
Justin Farrugia, Anton Saliba, and Marvin Vella were on target for the Greens, while Leo Torner found the net for the Swedish side.

Meanwhile, Qormi Daikin, also reigning champions in domestic competition, registered a dominant 3–0 win over Hockey Team 85 from Finland.
Under the guidance of coach Andre Ghio, Qormi showcased discipline and control, scoring in each quarter to claim a comfortable victory.
Juan Sarcia led the scoring with a brace, while Shawn Dimech added another to round off the performance.
