San Ġwann Tiki Taka A Win the Blackball Regional League in Thrilling Final

At the end of an intense and competitive season, San Ġwann Tiki Taka A captured the spotlight of the Maltese blackball scene by winning the 2024/25 Regional League, organized by the Malta Blackball Federation. The final was worthy of the occasion, with San Ġwann defeating Qormi Anici Boys by a score of 11-9.
It was a match between two teams that had shown consistency and determination throughout the entire season. San Ġwann Tiki Taka A started strongly and maintained a slight lead for most of the match, although the Qormi side never gave up and fought hard until the end. Their efforts, however, fell just short.
The decisive ball was potted by Troy Zammit, sealing the win and triggering scenes of celebration among the San Ġwann players and supporters.
San Ġwann Tiki Taka A’s squad for the final included Keith Caruana, Gabriel Vella, Troy Zammit, Dwight Charles, Liam Mifsud, Matthias Debono, and Jason Grech.
The victory celebrations kicked off immediately after the match, during the official trophy presentation, as San Ġwann Tiki Taka A were crowned champions.
It was a busy and eventful week for the Malta Blackball Federation, with no fewer than five finals taking place. Among the other winners were Ħamrun 147 A, who claimed the Cisk Premier League, Ħamrun 147 C who won another Regional League, PL Balzan who triumphed in the Community League final, and Siġġiewi Montekristo, who took home the Amateur Cup.
