On Wednesday, at around 11:30 a.m., police were called to intervene in an argument that broke out during a court case inside one of the courtrooms.
According to preliminary investigations, the incident began when a 28-year-old man from San Pawl il-Baħar was exiting the courtroom under court order. At that point, he approached one of the individuals involved in the same case.
Several people present quickly intervened, along with police officers and court officials who were on site. The situation escalated, leading to the immediate arrest of the 28-year-old man.
Meanwhile, the other party involved, a 49-year-old man, also from San Pawl il-Baħar, went to the nearest health centre, where he was later certified as suffering from serious injuries.
Police investigations into the incident are still ongoing.
