Yesterday, a MAGA and pro-Trump shooter identified as Vance Luther Boelter fatally shot a Minnesota lawmaker at her home in Brooklyn Park. The Democrat lawmaker, Melissa Hortman, former House Speaker and state representative, was shot and killed at her home along with her husband, Mark Hortman.
Prior to killing the Hortman couple, the shooter shot at John Hoffman, a state senator and his wife Yvette, at their home in Champlin but they survived. The shooter drove to the house of the Hortmans after he shot the Hoffmans.
The shooter has been identified as Vance Luther Boelter aged 57 years old, and had a list of up to 70 names that he wanted to kill including Governor Tim Walz, Ilhan Omar, Tina Smith and Keith Ellison. “No Kings” flyers were also found in his car.
The suspected shooter, who impersonated a police officer to gain access to the couples’ homes, is currently on the run.
Minnesota Governor Tim Waltz described the shootings as a politically motivated assassination and praised Melissa Hortman for her public service.
