14 people killed in Kyiv after Russia launches wave of drones and missiles

Up to 14 people were killed and dozens more were injured after Russia launched a wave of drones and missiles at the capital city of Ukraine, Kyiv, while US President Donald Trump is in Canada at the G7 defending Russia and excusing its war crimes.

President Trump is pressuring Ukraine to halt attacks on Russia’s oil industry, is pressuring Ukraine to capitulate to Russia by ceding land and giving up aspirations for NATO membership, and wants to quickly lift sanctions from Russia. Russian attacks against Ukrainian cities and civilians have increased since President Trump began brokering his “peace negotiations” between Ukraine and Rusia.

Ukrainians have become increasingly angry and disappointed that despite accepting to sign a mineral rights deal with the US after being pressured and threatened to do so, the US is acting more like an ally of Russia than an ally of Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Ukraine has struck a Shahed drone factory in Russia, in the Alabuga Special Economic Zone in Yelabuga, Republic of Tatarstan.
