6 Germany Army trucks torched at private repair shop

6 Germany Bundeswehr trucks have been torched and the aftermath of the attack propagated through Russian military and propaganda channels on Telegram. The trucks were intended to be sent to Ukraine and were parked at a MAN private repair shop in Erfurt.

This is just the latest in a series of Russian sabotage attacks in Europe following an arson attack on a shopping mall in Poland, an attack on an IKEA shopping centre in Lithuania, and many other failed terror plots in the UK. The UK also suffered a sabotage attack on Heathrow Airport earlier this year.

This is also not the first time that German defence assets were sabotaged by Russian saboteurs.

In many cases, the Russian security services commission civilians based in Europe to conduct these attacks apart from using their existing networks. The authorities in Erfurt have opened an investigation.
