A 46-year-old motorcyclist from Ħal Qormi is recovering from serious injuries after being involved in a traffic accident in Triq il-Kbira, Mellieħa earlier today.
The incident occurred at around 11:00 a.m., when police were alerted to a collision between a Hyundai Getz, driven by a 23-year-old man from Mellieħa, and a Honda motorcycle.
Emergency services, including a medical team, were dispatched to the scene. The motorcyclist was transported by ambulance to Mater Dei Hospital, where he was later certified to be suffering from serious injuries.
Police investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances leading to the crash.
