Just today, the fully-government funded newspaper called Illum that was also owned by Keith Schembri, released online a very vexatious and libelous against me and this press as it made reference to Judge Toni Abela’s judgement on Yorgen Fenech’s chats. In his judgement, Judge Toni Abela, referred to Saviour Balzan’s vexatious allegations against me in his Court ruling without checking and verifying actual facts and Court records. Saviour Balzan, whose media house is fully-funded by the government started a smear campaign ever since chats about him exposed him that he conspired with Yorgen Fenech to hit at his critics like Jason Azzopardi.
Yorgen Fenech paid a hosts of politicians and journalists to attack his critics.
Judge Toni Abela’s sentence was received by Labour Party supporters with celebration, while we received a barrage of personal abuse. Illum is continuing with its smear campaign even lying outright about my financial affairs. Naturally, any attempt to persistently and allegedly state where I live is also a direct threat to my personal security.
Judge Toni Abela’s sentence is being celebrated by and used by a literal conspirator of organised criminals to hit at an independent press and promote an online and personal bullying campaign. Compare the treatment that Rosianne Cutajar is being given after she initiated a vexatious libel suit and a criminal case which she lost over chats that incriminate her over corruption and fraud.
The gross and oversized imbalance of power against The Maltese Heraldย in this case is astonishing, yet, the Judge pretends that I have to capitulate to this bullying, harassment and direct threats to my personal security on the account of his very vexatious sentence riddled with personal attacks written by his old friend.
Throughout this saga, I have refrained from attacking anyone on a personal basis, including Saviour Balzan and Rosianne Cutajar, yet I am being accused of being too personal for publishing chats that actually lead to the resignation of a Member of Parliament and even a police investigation against her.
Toni Abela wrote a Court sentence with the aim to appease his friend and rub his popularity among fellow Labour supporters, whose backing he appears eager to enjoy as he tours local media outlets giving lengthy interviews – the latest one on the public broadcaster interviewed by his own friend, Saviour Balzan.
I don’t have the opportunity to go on the public broadcaster and defend myself or give an interview because the public broadcaster is run like a fascist government propaganda unit. However, I can definitely make sure to record the truth for the sake of history and Toni Abela lied on the public broadcaster when he said that he doesn’t want to make a judgement about Joseph Muscat. Toni Abela does have a judgement to make about Joseph Muscat but he doesn’t want to disclose it because his priority right now seems to be to ensure his popularity among his Labour supporters.
Around two days after Christmas of 2019, at the height of Malta’s political crisis, Judge Toni Abela stormed during the desert of an SKS dinner, sat down next to the Chairman, ordered a coffee, and began a long monologue about how Joseph Muscat was a pathological liar and totally corrupt.
“Don’t believe anything Joseph Muscat says” he told us.
And no, this is not “attak faฤงxi personali”. This actually puts the Judge in some good light for the reasonable reader). Toni Abela has been very selective with the information he used to pass judgement on me. If he is now pretending to be a voice of truth and reason, he should may as well be honest about what he thinks and end all his theatrics.
