Malta’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that Malta and Japan have signed an agreement allowing youths aged between 18 and 30 to apply for one-year working visas in each other’s country. Malta’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the agreement had been nine years in the making.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign, Affairs Minister Ian Borg signed the agreement with Japan’s Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Hisayuki Fujii, also held a meeting with the Chief Cabinet Secretary, Yoshimasa Hayashi.
On Thursday, the Foreign Affairs Minister will mark sixty years of relations with Japan at Osaka Expo.
The Deputy Foreign-Minister arrived in Japan following a visit to China.
