Yesterday at around 10:15 p.m., police were alerted to a traffic accident on Triq il-Wied ta’ Birkirkara, Birkirkara.
Upon arrival, preliminary investigations revealed that a collision had occurred between a Mazda Demio, driven by a 41-year-old man from Birkirkara, and an e-scooter ridden by a 17-year-old male, also from Birkirkara.
A medical team was called to the scene, and the teenager was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance. He was later certified as suffering from serious injuries.
Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
