28-year-old man seriously injured after being hit by car in Ta’ Xbiex

A 28-year-old man from Ħal Għargħur was seriously injured on Monday morning after being hit by a car in Triq ix-Xatt, Ta’ Xbiex.

The incident occurred at around 7:45a.m. Preliminary investigations by the police revealed that the man was hit by a Toyota IQ being driven by a 52-year-old Italian man residing in Gżira.

A medical team provided first aid on site, and the victim was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance, where he was later certified to be suffering from serious injuries.

Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
