Two people were hospitalised following two separate traffic accidents that occurred yesterday afternoon.
The first incident took place at around 3:30pm in Triq Aldo Moro, Marsa. Preliminary investigations revealed a collision between a Kymco motorcycle driven by a 67-year-old man from Ħal Tarxien and a BMW i3 driven by a 79-year-old woman from Sliema.
The second accident happened at approximately 5:00pm in Triq il-Mosta, Ħal Lija. Initial inquiries showed that a Mercedes A180, driven by a 28-year-old man from Birkirkara, collided with a Renault Megane driven by a 36-year-old woman from Naxxar.
Medical assistance was provided at the scene of both accidents. The motorcyclist and the 28-year-old driver were taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance, where they were later certified as having suffered serious injuries.
Police investigations into both cases are ongoing.
