Chris Fearne pays tribute to Lorenzo Vella: one of Malta’s most missed diplomats

Previous Deputy Prime Minister Chris Fearne paid tribute to one of Malta’s missed diplomats, Lorenzo Vella who passed away last year on August 18th. Lorenzo Vella worked as Head of the European Commission Representation in Malta. Previously, he was the Deputy Permanent Representative of Malta to the European Union and later on Head of Malta’s Permanent Representation to the Council of Europe.

He remains deeply missed by his diplomatic colleagues and his friends. You can read a description of Lorenzo Vella by one of our sources here.

The Maltese Herald was also inspired by Ċensu (Vincenzo) Bugeja, a former editor of the Paris Herald, whose legacy today embodies the Labour Party’s liberal, internationalist, and progressive trend: of which Lorenzo Vella was a part.
