A 29-year-old Italian national was arrested in Gżira following a controlled delivery operation by the police.
The investigation began after a package arriving from abroad was flagged, containing a substance suspected to be MDMA. On Thursday morning, police carried out the delivery to the listed address in Gżira, where the man collected the package before being arrested on site.
The parcel was found to contain around four kilograms of MDMA, with an estimated street value of €200,000.
The man was arraigned in court today at around 11:30am before Magistrate Yana Micallef Stafrace.
