Over 2,800 Nationalist Party members voted today in the partyโs leadership election: the first of two days of early voting in the contest between Adrian Delia and Alex Borg.
PN sources informed The Maltese Herald that the total amount of 20,377 tesserati are eligible to vote in this leadership election, meaning that around 15% of eligible voters have already cast their vote. The same sources said that the highest turnout was seen in Gozo at around 20% whilst the lowest was in the 5th and 12th district at around 9%.
The amount of eligible voters is lower than it was in 2020 when Delia came up against Bernard Grech when 21,600 or so were eligible to vote. Another round of early voting will be held on Saturday 30th August from 9am to 7pm.
