3 people were killed overnight during a wide-scale Russian drone attack against Ukrainian cities. Up to 141 drones target the cities of Kyiv, Chernihiv, Zaporizhzhia and Sumy. A school was bombed in Malotaranivka and another school in Sumy was destroyed.
President Zelensky has reiterated that Russia should be held accountable for these attacks and called for more sanctions. Russia has exponentially increased its drone and missile strikes against Ukrainian cities since President Trump entered office earlier this year.
During the weekend, President Donald Trump was questioned by a journalist called Augustinas ล emelis from the Lithuanian public broadcaster on whether he is ready to defend the Baltic states if they were attacked by Russia. The question was made in the context of the recent violations of Baltic air-space by Russia. President Trump confirmed he would defend the Baltic states in the event of an attack on the Baltic states. The footage of the question is posted below. His comments contradicted a previous statement by his Secretary of War.
