Jonathan Vassallo is a Maltese accountant who deals with rich clients about their yachts and aircraft. He works for Dixcart Air Marine a company that deals with yachting and aircraft issues for rich people.
What is very interesting for us, is that Jonathan Vassallo has been identified as being a shell company director of a Russian holding a significant amount of assets in Malta. The company is called Waves Holdings and a whistleblower with extensive knowledge on Alkagesta has claimed that this company once held the yacht of Adnan Ahmadzada who was arrested last week in Azerbaijan.
The story however is a bit complex because Jonathan Vassallo is officially fronting a Russian in Malta called Vladislav Mokhonko. However, Vladislaw Mokhonko is not really the owner of these shell companies. Vladislaw Mokhonko is suspected of being a front for the sanctioned Russian oligarch Vagit Alekperov.
The story about Alkagesta is tying together very well. Everything is consistently making sense. Vagit Yusufovich Alekperov is a Russian businessman of Azerbaijani origin and was the President of the oil company Lukoil from 1993 until 2022.
Jonathan Vassallo and the company he works for may be facilitating extensive money-laundering and sanctions-breaking for sanctioned Russian individuals in Europe.
Waves Holdings is also declaring that it issued up to โฌ136 million in loans to its subsidiary companies. The accounts show that the company looks like a sizeable fund but it’s quite strange how the company is issuing very big loans when it is supposedly serving as a a parking lot for capital.
