Tens of thousands of Israelis were out in Tel Aviv, yesterday, as they demanded for an immediate end to the war in Gaza and the release of all hostages held by Hamas. The protest held was one of the biggest protests in Tel Aviv since the start of Israel’s war ion Gaza on October 7th 2023.
Protestors held signs in favour of President Donald Trump after he pressured Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Hamas to accept his proposed peace deal. Hamas said that it will be releasing all remaining hostages under its custody and hand over administration but it said it won’t disarm.
Hamas is currently being embattled by Palestinians factions in Gaza who want to see its dismantling.ย Last Friday, Hamas took several casualties after it attacked a rival Palestinian clan, while yesterday, anti-Hamas clans were out in the streets of Gaza brandishing weapons.
US President Donald Trump posted a photo of a map of Gaza indicating the initial withdrawal line for Israel which would would be met with the immediate hostages release by Hamas. However, Israel continued its military operations in Gaza City, shelling and bombing different neighbourhoods and killing up to 20 Palestinians.
