Mazzotta names final 23-Man Squad for U21 Euro Qualifiers against Northern Ireland and Georgia

Malta Under-21 national team coach Davide Mazzotta has officially named his final 23-man squad for the upcoming UEFA U21 European Championship qualifiers against Northern Ireland and Georgia.

The Maltese youngsters will be looking to bounce back and register their first points in Group E following their opening day defeat against Greece.

Two Key Fixtures Ahead

Malta will first face Northern Ireland away at the Oval Stadium in Belfast on Thursday, 9 October, with the match kicking off at 20:45 CET. The encounter will be broadcast live on TVMi.mt.

The team will then return to home soil to take on Georgia at the Centenary Stadium on Tuesday, 14 October (kick-off 19:00 CET). Tickets are available through the Malta FA Tickets Portal, while the match will also be shown live on TVMSport+.

Fresh Faces in the Squad

Coach Mazzotta has called up several new faces to strengthen his options for the two matches. Liam Frendo, Matthias Micallef, Kai Bartolo, and Gabriel Vella have all been handed their first call-ups to the U21 squad.

The team will be aiming to deliver a strong performance on both fronts — away and at home — as they continue their European qualifying campaign.
