The Italian Premier Giorgia Meloni was mostly received with sexist comments at the Sharm El-Sheikh peace signing conference between the US and Egypt. The Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan commented on her appearance telling her “she looks good”, but added that she “needs to stop smoking”.
Later on, the Italian Premier looked bemused as her Conservative ally, US President Donald Trump called her “beautiful” from the podium as he gave his speech.

This is not the first time that male leaders have commented about the appearance of the Italian Premier in public, which is widely considered as sexist and inappropriate in Europe.
