Azim Novruzov denies being close to Adnan Ahmadzada

In a letter sent to to us by his lawyers in the UK, Azim Novruzov has denied all allegations about him in an ourticle article published here.

Azim Novruzov has denied that he is close to Adnan Ahmadzada as we claimed in our previous article. According to Azi Novruzov he only encountered Adnan Ahmadzada on an occasional basis and has not been in contact with him for many years. Novruzov claims he met Ahmadzada when Novruzov was employed at the Union Grand Energy Pte Ltd (โ€˜UGEโ€™) and met him on an occasional basis, as part of his employment duties. These meetings were not regular and were limited to trading business. Novruzov ceased his employment at UGE in April 2013 at which point he relocated to the UK with his family. Since that date, Novruzov states, that he has not spoken to, met or had any dealings with Adnan Ahmadzada whatsoever.

Azim Novruzov also denies claims that he met with Rosneftโ€™s President Igor Sechin and claims that there is no evidence of these claims except for those that come from our website. We can confirm that there is no published evidence of our claims and our sources for this claim are oil industry insiders.

This is part of an ongoing investigation about Alkagesta, which is Malta’s largest oil-cargo handler and trader.
