The Labour Party’s massive media alarm and scaremongering towards a debate taking place today at the European Parliament is actually about a debate on the delayed justice for Daphne Caruana Galizia. Basically, Labour Party MEPs wants top dissuade the European Parliament to have a debate about the murder of a journalist in an EU-member state. Alex Agius Saliba even convinced the S&D to publish a statement against the debate which he authored himself.
Why would an EU member-state be afraid to discuss the murder of its journalists at the European Parliament especially when this discussion involves the delayed justice about their murder? In Malta, we know very well this kind of deplorable behaviour and it originates from the ex-disgraced Premier Joseph Muscat who made extensive efforts to convince the general public that he had nothing to do with the murder of the journalist. The man accused of commissioning her murder still needs to go to trial more than five years after he was arrested, which would be a good enough reason to prompt a debate about delayed justice. However, the Labour Party doesn’t want to hold this debate in Malta.
Instead, the Labour Party is publicly projecting hostility against the legacy of Daphne Caruana Galizia,
Alex Agius Saliba, who is also the Deputy-Leader of the Labour Party, is the leader of Joseph Muscat’s faction inside Labour. He, has fought tooth and nail for Joseph Muscat’s public rehabilitation, and has been a major Labour proponent to bury the legacy of Daphne Caruana Galizia. He has also constantly defended the history of Joseph Muscat including his unbridled acts of corruption. Alex Agius Saliba has put himself at the service of organised criminality in Malta out of evil, and conscious political opportunism. The S&D have facilitated his mission by placing him on the Justice committee.
Alex Agius Saliba is a textbook deplorable in politics. Political principles and morality don’t matter to him when it comes to political strategy and goals. In order to achieve this state, he transformed himself from a young socialist into a conservative who rationalises evil and criminality in his own party. He is aligned with the far-right on European defence policy and his base of supporters are mostly the uneducated and the semi-literate, with his canvassers being typical Labour thugs doing unproductive jobs with the government. Alex Agius Saliba has succeeded in his mission in turning the Labour Party more pro-Joseph Muscat than it was in 2019.
The S&D are now propping him up because, apparently, they don’t haven’t more important things to do. For them, his stupid antics may look like conventional partisan bickering. For us, it’s deplorable behaviour and the S&D is participating in a gross act of subversion and disinformation by a criminal organisation that intends to suppress both justice and the memory of a murdered journalist.
This is not just about Daphne Caruana Galizia: it’s also about the state of our country and the soul of the Labour Party. Joseph Muscat has hijacked the Labour Party, and by extension the Maltese State, destroyed their soul, and turned them into parasitic monsters that are eating away at our national structure like fire consumes itself. The socialists at the European Parliament can chose to be part of this criminal adventure or instead chose decency.
