Earlier this morning, at around 9:15 a.m., police were informed that their assistance was needed at a construction site in Daħlet Pawluzzu, San Lawrenz, Gozo.
Preliminary investigations revealed that a 36-year-old man from Ghana was injured while operating a grinder during work.
The victim received medical assistance at the scene before being taken to Gozo General Hospital by ambulance, where he was later certified to be suffering from serious injuries.
Police investigations, together with officials from the Occupational Health and Safety Authority, are still ongoing.
