Rima Hassan Mobarak received a barrage of criticism following her gruesome comment in support of public executions by Hamas and was compelled to issue a statement. Her supporters defended her by denying that she ever made claims supporting the public executions of Hamas but her comments were quite clear and explicit (see image in previous article).
In her statement, the French MEP said she opposes Hamas’s public executions but supports its purges to hold Palestinians accountable for Israel’s attempted genocide in Gaza. After publishing her statement, she deleted her statement and all her past comments on Twitter.
Rima Hassan double-down on her support of the purges by Hamas by describing Palestinian dissidents as “ISIS”.
Hamas is conducting widespread purges and killings of Palestinian families that oppose its rule. Hamas is saying that it is hunting down Israeli collaborators but actual Israeli collaborators in Gaza are unscathed. Many Palestinians in Gaza have condemned the comments by Rima Hassan Mobarak but we can not publish these comments due to concerns about their safety.
This is not the first time that Rima Hassan Mobarak has made statements in support of Hamas, whom she describes as a legitimate resistance group.
