Yesterday at the regular Labour Party Sunday rally, the Labour Party’s CEO Leonic McKay continued his bizarre political campaigning despite of his role, by giving a speech before the Finance Minister and the Prime Minister. Mainly, he harped about the Nationalist Party not being in compliant with the Political Parties Finances Law which obliges the political parties to submit their accounts yearly to the Electoral Commission. The Nationalist Party has failed to submit its accounts yet.
The Labour Party is pretending that it is compliant with the law because it is submitting the documents which are prescribed by law to the Electoral Commission. But obviously, the submissions of the Labour Party are fraudulent and don’t take account actual donors who donate more than โฌ500.
Here is the latest donations report by the Labour Party fpr 2024. The Labour Party is pretending that during a month in which it organised a televised marathon, only one corporate entity gave a donation of more than โฌ7000 and this donation was for โฌ10,000 – the maximum amount before the law obliges the donor to disclose their details.
The Labour Party receives many donationsย from corporations and big donors which are broken down into multiple smaller donations in its accounting and donation reports – basically fraud. Just like this large donation by the Fortina Group was never disclosed in the official reports. Everyone knows about this and this practice is accepted and tolerated because the Labour Party is in power and it can do whatever it wants. In additional, Leonid McKay can go to a Sunday Sermon and lie to a crowd that he is fully compliant.
The Labour Party has no respect for the truth and its officials and politics are saying whatever comes to their mind and whatever is profitable in the short-term. They basically have become accustomed to lie blatantly every dayย about everything. Had Leonid McKay had some decency left, he would have kept his mouth shut, but instead, the CEO is blinded by a political career and therefore is making an effort at imitating his political peers.
